University of Coruña-Spain (Coordinator)
The University of A Coruña (Spain) is a new university created in the early 1990s when it separated from the 500-year-old University of Santiago de Compostela. It has more than 25 000 students and more than one hundred research groups. Within the university, the Department of Psychology is one of the more productive in terms of research, especially in the field of environmental psychology. The Environmental Psychology Group is a consolidated research group within the Galician structure of research and development and has been the leader of research in humanities and environmental issues at the university for the last five years. This partner is the Project Coordinator.

University of Umea-Sweden
Umeå University is one of the largest universities in Sweden, with over 30,000 students and over 4,100 personnel in five faculties, with several world-leading research centres in science and technology. The Umeå team is an interdisciplinary group of researchers from the social sciences with specializations in the area of sustainable development. Since 2007, they have been part of a network on issues of sustainability. They are highly skilled in the areas covered by the work package for which they are responsible.

West University of Timisoara-Romania
West University of Timisoara is a public university created in 1944 to serve the western part of the country. It is part of a consortium of the four most important universities in Romania, and it has over 25,000 students. The People Environment-Research Unit is an interdisciplinary research group within the Centre for Psychological Studies and Research of the Department of Psychology (www.psihologietm.ro) and it has been very active in promoting environmental research and has experience in running large-scale projects.

University of Surrey-UK
The University of Surrey was established in 1966 and is a research-led university with a reputation for undertaking applied and policy-oriented research with a focus on relevant and practical applications for enhancing Europe’s competitive edge and creating improvements in the areas of health, medicine, space science, the environment, communications, defence and social policy.
The Environmental Psychology Research Group (EPRG) is the leading research centre for environmental psychology in the UK and one of the principal research centres in Europe, with a particular specialist interest in the psychology of sustainable development. It has a long history of undertaking applied and policy-relevant work for local and national government and the EU, as well as industry and NGOs, and has expertise in both quantitative and qualitative methodologies. The Group currently comprises four full-time academic staff, four post-doctoral research fellows, six PhD students and several Visiting Professors from overseas including two members of this proposal.

Macaulay Land Research Institute-UK
The Macaulay Land Use Research Institute (MLURI) is an international centre for research and consultancy, primarily on the environmental and social consequences of rural land uses, but increasingly on energy and climate change issues. MLURI has particular expertise in socio-economics, sustainability science, and interdisciplinary research. Its work is funded by the Scottish Executive, the European Commission, and other competitive funding sources. MLURI has a long history of pariticipating in and coordinating multidisciplinary research projects, including products funded in Framework 7 and previous EU Framework Programmes. Within this project, MLURI will lead and focus on Work Package 6: Synthesis and Policy Solutions.

University of Groningen-The Netherlands
The department of Psychology is part of the Faculty of Behavioural and Social Sciences at the University of Groningen (RUG), The Netherlands. Areas of activity are, amongst others, environmental psychology, with a special interest in factors influencing behaviours relevant for household energy use and corporate sustainability.
The department has been involved in various EU funded project, among which ASI, ADVISORS, AWAKE, BARENERGY, DRUID, GILDED, HASTE, HILAS, SAVE, TRAINER, and TRAVEL GUIDE. Besides, various projects have been funded by local and central government in the Netherlands, business (such as Royal Ahold, Essent, Univé, and various insurance companies) and by the The Netherlands Organisation for Scientific Research (NWO).

Sapienza University of Rome, Center for Inter-University Research on Environmental Psychology (Italy)
CIRPA was established in 2005, at the Sapienza University of Rome, Italy, to promote and develop environmental psychology in Italy. The Director of CIRPA is Prof. Mirilia Bonnes. CIRPA also has also a PhD program since 2006. CIRPA and its members are currently, and have been in the past, involved in several funded research projects, including European FP ones. In this project CIRPA will lead the WP2 and will contribute to WPs 1, 3, 4, 5 and 6.
