Noelia Sánchez  Maroño is teaching at the Department of Computer Science at the University of A Coruña. She is also a member of the Laboraroty for Research and Development in Artificial Intelligence at the same university. She is currently working on the development of Machine Learning algorithms, mainly focus on the Feature Selection field, and on their applications to several areas, such as intrusion detection in computer networks or prediction of gene expression in bioinformatics. She has worked in the areas hybrid intelligent systems, functional and neural networks and new algorithms for achieving dimensionality reduction.
